A split release from two of the most unorthodox bands in Black Metal, this record is a must listen for all fans of bizarre, boundary pushing music.
Always experimental and sometimes controversial, UK avant-garde black metal institution The Meads of Asphodel have been making weird, mind-bending metal records for nearly 20 years. Featuring a guest appearance from Mirai (Sigh), the five songs from The Meads of Asphodel combine diverse influences around black metal core.
America’s own Tjolgtjar is less well know, but has been active for just as long. What was once a raw black metal act now incorporates Nuggets-ish psychedelia into the mix. One of the most unique bands in the black metal genre, Tjolgtjar combines a garage-rock sound with underground black metal riffs.
On Black vinyl with black inner sleeve and insert.
